SIBLE FRANCES MCCASLIN SIPE PENNINGTON

Sible Frances McCaslin Sipe Pennington, 91, of Claremont, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Conover Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born May 30, 1930 in Catawba County to the late Thomas Dwight McCaslin and Lula Bumgarner McCaslin. Sible was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Claremont and retired as a supervisor of environmental services at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Hugh “Bill” Sipe; second husband, Kenneth E. Pennington; brother, Dwight McCaslin; sister, Betty Gibson; and daughter, Sible Denise Sipe.

Grandchildren: Gretchen Keller (Ron), Carrie London, Keisa Reinhardt (Joe), Will Sipe (Tiffany), and Dawn Dellinger

Great-Grandchildren: Ronnie Keller, Teman Keller, Amalee Sipe, Peyton Sipe, Eva West, Ethan West, Preston Dellinger, McKayla Dellinger, Austin Dellinger, Brantley Dellinger, and Kiersten Dellinger

A service to celebrate Sible’s life will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Claremont. Rev. Philip Setzer will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
