The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Women’s Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during the twelfth week of the 2024 season. Lincoln Memorial’s Chandler Bell was named the Offensive Player of the Week while Limestone’s Bailey Stumpf was named the Defensive Player of the Week.
Bell, a senior from Davie, Fla., set two new program records in the Railsplitters 24-2 victory over Emory & Henry to wrap up the regular season. Bell set a new single game assist record with 12, passing the previous record of nine that was set earlier in the season. Bell recorded two goals in the contest, giving her 14 total points to set the new single game points record as well. She also added two ground balls and a caused turnover.
Stumpf, a senior from Fisherville, Ky., led a defense that only allowed one goal in the 23-1 victory over Mars Hill. She recorded four ground balls, five draw controls and three caused turnovers in the contest to secure the win and lock in the two seed for the Saints in the upcoming SAC Tournament.
