Calling all fútbol fans! Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona will face off on North American soil when El Clasico lands stateside for the very first time.
One of the greatest rivalries in sports—between soccer giants Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona—dates back to the 1930s, but remains as fierce as ever today. In 2014, Forbes even ranked them as the two most valuable sports teams in the world. And on July 29, the globe’s best soccer players will pack their cleats and bring their talents to Hard Rock Stadium for the first El Clasico match played on North American soil, and only the second outside of Spain since its inception (the first was held in Venezuela in 1982).
Part of the 2017 International Champions Cup tournament, presented by Heineken in an effort to build and promote a soccer presence in the United States and beyond, Relevant Sports will also be hosting the Paris Saintgermain FC versus Juventus FC match just three days earlier, on July 26. And that’s not all: Because this is Miami, you can bet weeklong VIP fútbol festivities will ensue regardless of who wins.
