HYMN FOR THE WEEKDAY

COLDPLAY PAINTS THE TOWN EVERY COLOR OF THE RAINBOW WHEN THE HEAD FULL OF DREAMS TOUR HITS HARD ROCK STADIUM.

- BY ALEJANDRA TORRES

Coldplay paints the town every color of the rainbow when the Head Full of Dreams tour hits Hard Rock Stadium.

Whether they’re playing a small venue or a gigantic stadium, you can expect a full-on spectacle when Coldplay comes to town. Proof? Back in 2012, the band’s Mylo Xyloto tour lit up Americanairlines Arena with lasers and rainbow confetti, plus tens of thousands of glow-in-thedark bracelets worn by fans.

Since then, the multiple Grammy Award-winning foursome has released two studio albums: Ghost Stories and A Head Full of Dreams. While the former saw the band in a more somber mood, the latter marks a return to kaleidoscopic vibrancy, supported by a tour consisting of more than 100 massive shows in 14 countries. Lucky for us, we get to experience the magic on August 28 at Hard Rock Stadium.

If the show’s multiple stages, pyrotechnic visuals, and mesmerizing music don’t sway you to attend, consider this: It could be your last chance to see Coldplay in concert. Frontman Chris Martin told Beats 1 Radio that the band’s latest album might be a farewell, calling it “a closing chapter of something.” If that implies the end of Coldplay, you won’t want to miss out on a night to remember.
