A NEW, STEAMY TAKE ON A CLASSIC SCENT PROVIDES A FRAGRANCE PERFECTLY SUITED FOR MIAMI.
A new, steamy take on a classic scent provides a fragrance perfectly suited for Miami.
If you didn’t think Miami could get any hotter, think again. Dolce & Gabbana is turning up the heat with Light Blue Eau Intense and Light Blue Eau Intense Pour Homme, the latest blends to join its decades-old fragrance collection, accompanied by a sexy ad campaign starring models David Gandy and Bianca Balti and shot by legendary photographer Mario Testino.
If the brand’s original scents were fit for a day at the beach, Light Blue Eau Intense (100 ml. for $135), created by master perfumer Olivier Cresp, and Light Blue Eau Intense Pour Homme (100 ml. for $110), by master perfumer Alberto Morillas, are what you spritz on when the sun goes down. For the feminine rendition, the scents of fresh lemon and Granny Smith apples are blended with bright jasmine and marigold, then finished with leathery cedarwood and skinlike musks. “I tried to translate this idea of a sensual skin in a more intense way,” says Cresp.
For men, Morillas created a cocktail of energizing mandarin and grapefruit, paired with juniper and a salty, aquatic accord, similarly intensified with amber woods and musks. Says Morillas, “The key idea was to create a concentrate of masculine freshness.” Sephora, 721 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, 305-532-0904; sephora.com
