PALACE INSIDERS SAY PRINCES WILLIAM AND HARRY HAVE BEEN TORN APART BY THEIR WIVES
What a royal mess! Palace sources are buzzing that a brotherly rift between Princes Harry and William is on the verge of boiling over. An insider claims that even before Harry and his pregnant wife, decided Duchess to ditch Meghan, their shared address at Kensington Palace with William and Duchess Kate for a permanent home in the Windsor countryside, the brothers were already butting heads.
According to reports, Harry, 34, who’s long followed his big brother’s lead, was disappointed that William “wasn’t rolling out the red carpet” for his American actress bride after their engagement last November — and even appealed to his dad, Prince Charles, after William, 36, was reluctant to welcome his soon-to-be sister-in-law into the family’s annual holiday celebrations. The sibling tension soon spilled over to their wives. According to a source, just weeks before her May wedding, Meghan, 37, had a meltdown over the flower girl dresses — of which Kate, 36, was in charge. “Meghan was demanding, and when Kate voiced her concerns, Meghan didn’t care,” says the insider, who adds that the incident left the more experienced duchess in tears. While the in-laws did their best to stay cordial, they never clicked — and haven’t been seen alone together since Wimbledon in July. An insider suggests that Meghan and Harry’s decision to move is a last-straw act of defiance — but may be the tip of the tension iceberg. “The princes share a domestic and administrative staff,” explains the insider, “and Harry relocating will make working with William almost impossible. Their household could soon be divided into two entities — and there are genuine concerns that the brothers may not be able to come back from this.” OK!
