A liberal’s challenge for Trump’s fans
While I don’t agree with conservatives on many issues, I have anecdotal evidence that they tend to be truthful, loyal to friends, morally sound and generous, and have great faith in God. Conservatives to me — a liberal — are the anchor that stops me from floating too far away from reality. They are tremendously hard workers and tend to be serious about their beliefs
I am genuinely mystified, however, considering all of those traits, why so many of them seem to practically worship our president? Many conservatives seem to be rabid supporters of the president — a man who is rarely truthful, is not friendly toward any group that criticizes him, loathes turning the other cheek, doesn’t treat others as he’d like to be treated, and is not loving or self-sacrificing.
It’s confusing to me how conservatives, who are so down to earth, accept his word over his own intelligence service. I find myself wondering why they’re such enthusiastic supporters of a man who speaks in a manner that they’d spank their children for speaking?
How do they worship a God who says, “Judge not less thee be judged” and support a man who is constantly belittling ex-presidents, foreign heads of states, undocumented immigrants, people with disabilities and the media.
I have yet to meet a conservative who will even allow me to ask the question, much less answer it: Why do you believe in a man who’s the antithesis of your beliefs?
Just a sore loser
George Diaz is not suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” He is just a sore loser. I know, because I felt the same way for the eight long years of the Obama administration.
Now I am just one of those deporables, who cling to guns and religion, and belong to the great unwashed group who shop at Walmart. The insults may not be shouted in CAPS by Hillary Clinton, President Obama and Peter Strzok, but I heard them loud and clear.
