Margaret “Maggie” Stilp

Stilp, Margaret I, 91, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 at her home in Orlando, FL. Margaret was born on October 11, 1927 in Nennah, WI. She was the 4th of 5 children born to George and Mary Oppelt. Margaret was preceded in death by her life-long love and Captain, Ivan Stilp, and two of her grandchildren, Erica Henry and Jeff Stilp Jr. Margaret and Ivan were married for 65 years. Together they have three children, Pauli Uricchio (Joe), Rick Stilp (Anna) and Jeff Stilp (Lisa).

Margaret’s life was focused on her family. She enjoyed a lifetime of boating with her husband, proudly boasting the title of first mate and spending many years living full time aboard with a fishing pole in her hand. Margaret was a small business owner and volunteer. She loved to dance in her youth but most of all she was a woman who knew and loved our Lord.

In addition to her 3 children, she is survived by her 5 grandchildren, Julie Harahan, Erin Jefferson (John), Kelly Stritch (Branden), Jennifer Stilp, Jake Stilp (Erin), 17 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and her brother Robert Oppelt (Genevieve). Margaret is already missed dearly by her family but in the end, she was ready to go home, to be free of pain and to be reunited with the ones who passed before her.
