Making a Difference in Your Life

-

Happy holidays! This is the season for giving and making a difference in your life and the life of others. Often we think we have to do things big to make an impact, like the old saying “go big or go home,” but that’s simply not the case. Whether you have a grand plan or not, touching someone’s life in a big or small way can influence them forever. Giving a compliment can boost someone’s self-esteem, praising a job well done can boost confidence, complimenting someone can put a smile on their face, encouraging someone inoculates bravery to stand tall, and cheering someone on simply gives them the power to keep pushing. Each of these small acts will make a meaningful difference in someone’s life, and hopefully fill you with joy and satisfaction. Now, if you can

“go big”, I encourage you to do so. There are so many communities, health organizations, and human beings in need. Sometimes the best way to make a difference is to open your heart. Behind each of us stands at least one supporter – a family member, a friend, a coworker or just someone on the sidelines cheering us on – who made a huge impact in your life. In turn, you can become the power behind someone else by offering support. Simply, the most meaningful acts are often the ones we commit to without prompting or expectations. So when you are writing your New Year’s resolutions, consider making a difference in someone’s life a top priority. In return, it will bring you so much happiness, provide induced energy for living and set positive examples for others to follow. Your life will be forever changed!
