Border security

-

Years ago in 1986 President Reagan listened to Congress and signed legislation that gave many illegal invaders amnesty in America. He did so based on expectations and commitments that Congress would secure and protect our borders.

Congress failed to do so then and ever since has completely failed to secure our borders. Congress has failed in one of the most important vows they took when elected to protect America. Congress failed to fund border security. Congress watered down the original legal penalties on employers.

The lack of actions by Congress over many years has encouraged many leftists, socialists, immigration advocates and many other citizens of America to be in favor of open borders and unlimited access by illegal invaders because they are in need of help.

During the same years Congress has funded billions of dollars to help foreign partners control their borders but still refuses to do so to control ours.

Today we are now at a pivot point for the future of America.

President Trump is demanding Congress finally fund efforts to secure our borders by a variety of methods.

In simple terms, “it’s time to fish or cut bait” on this issue. By not funding border security, Congress is literally authorizing the opening of our borders to the world and as a result causing America’s destruction.

I stand with President Trump on this issue. You can decide for yourself if you want America to survive. Bill Francis Summerfield
