Some residents in the North Shore Golf Club neighborhood in southeast Orange County are under a precautionary boil-water notice due to a nearby water main break.

The advisory affects people on North Shore Golf Club Boulevard between Kirby Smith Road and Moss Park Road, Orange County Utilities officials said in a press release Saturday.

Residents in this area are advised to bring any water used for consumption to a rolling boil for at least a minute before using, according to officials. Water used for bathing or doing laundry does not need to be boiled.

The advisory is expected to last for at least two days as crews work to repair the break and collect bacteriological samples to analyze, officials said.

The advisory is a precaution, utility officials said, adding there is no evidence the water is contaminated.
