Milton’s fast recovery

McKenzie Milton thankfully is making a fast recovery from his devastating knee injury that could have resulted in amputation without multiple operations performed by highly skilled and dedicated surgeons. His rapid progress is due to the work of these surgeons plus his own personal high motivation.

Therefore I was disappointed in his statement in the Sentinel: “Thanking God for the miracles I see everyday in my life. Went from almost losing my leg to leg pressing 40lbs in a little over a month. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. God is definitely at work.”

As a religious person, he is entitled to his beliefs. But it is demeaning to the surgeons who have spent many years acquiring the skills that saved his leg to not even be mentioned in his statement.
