Concert Among 10,000 Roses: The Choir and Orchestra of the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe, will present a concert titled “A Mother’s Day Bouquet” featuring a wide variety of sacred and secular music around the themes of motherhood, including several settings of the famous “Ave Maria” as well as music of Mozart, Schubert, Caccini, spirituals and more. the concert will take place among 10,000 roses in the sanctuary which are donated in honor of mothers around the world. 3 p.m. May 12, The Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe, 8300 Vineland Ave., Orlando, $25 for adults, free for ages 12 or younger, 407-239-6600.

Art and foliage festival: The 58th annual Apopka Woman’s Club Art and Foliage Festival features arts and crafts, an indoor and outdoor foliage sale, plant doctors, live entertainm­ent, children’s art area, bus tours of local plant nurseries and food.
