Happy Father’s Day!

- By Carmena Murphy cmurphy@orlandosentinel.com

The staff at “A Better You” would like to say Happy Father’s Day to all the great men in our lives; our fathers, brothers, uncles, teachers, bosses, community leaders and friends. This issue is dedicated to you for being a positive influence in our lives and continuously giving of yourself. Sometimes we are guilty of not thanking you enough for just exemplifying strength, patience, kindness, respect, gratitude, temperance, humbleness, and peace. We could go on and on about what we are thankful for, but most importantly, we are thankful for you simply being in our presence. In today’s society, we are overwhelmed with everyday responsibilities; children, jobs, relationships, and it seems as if life is passing by quicker than we would like limiting us from having much down time to relax and be appreciative. So, I encourage everyone to take a moment to show admiration to the many men that influence us in so many ways. It’s that young man at the grocery store loading the bags in our car or the gentlemen who helped us get the heavy box off the top shelf. It’s that man who shares his words of wisdom and encouragement at just the right time or the man that tells us when we’re wrong. It’s that neighbor with the bright smile on his face who takes the time to say hello every day. He has no idea how much we look forward to his happy disposition and pleasantness. At the office of “A Better You”, we would like to let you know we see you; we appreciate you, and we thank you for all you do today and every day. Happy Father’s Day and make it a great one!
