WonderWorks reopens its doors

WonderWorks, a science-oriented attraction on Orlando’s International Drive, reopened to the public Friday. It has been closed for two months in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

A few of WonderWorks’ interactive displays, including its ropes course and rock wall, will remain off-limits for a while, the attraction said.

COVID-19-inspired changes at the attraction include reduced capacity and operating hours, enhanced cleaning measures, socialdistancing guides, hand-sanitizer stations and health screenings of its employees.

WonderWorks workers will be required to wear face coverings. Visitors will be encouraged — but not required — to wear masks.

“We’ve taken every measure to make our guests comfortable during our reopening and beyond,” said Brian Wayne, WonderWorks general manager.

The attraction features 100 activities that focus on the areas of science, technology, engineering and math.

WonderWorks, housed in the upside-down-looking building on I-Drive, opens at 10 a.m. For more information, go to www.wonderworksonline.com/orlando.
