Apopka Art and Foliage Festival: The GFWC Apopka Woman’s Club 59th annual event will showcase the work of juried artisans and crafters, and top foliage growers from Central Florida. PASOS (Parents and Spouses of Suicide) Grief Support Group: A program of the nonprofit First Nature Foundation, offers a virtual Zoom meeting twice monthly (for safety during the pandemic), the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The group is facilitated and supported by a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with grief counseling experience. Second Annual ‘Hope Scholars’ 4-Person Golf Scramble Fundraiser: Proceeds will help Hope Presbyterian Church at Lake Nona provide two equal-value scholarships beyond the Hope family to a faculty-selected senior from Lake Nona High and Oak Ridge High. Paws in the Park: Sponsored by the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, the event will raise awareness and money to benefit homeless pets. There will be lure courses for big and small dogs, photo stations, costume contest, vendor marketplace, food trucks, Pet Alliance swag and pet adoption opportunities.
