Owner Flávio Augusto da Silva sold Orlando City to the Wilf family on Wednesday, marking a major turning point for the club after six seasons under the owner.

But with the 2021 MLS and NWSL seasons already underway, what does this news mean for Orlando City fans?

Here’s a breakdown of some of the top questions about the sale, the new ownership group and the next steps of the process:

What does this sale include?

The sale included the entirety of the club’s assets — Orlando City and the Orlando Pride, Exploria Stadium, the training facilities and the Orlando City academy system. This will include Orlando City B, which withdrew from USL League One for this season but will begin to compete again soon in a new MLS developmen­t league.

Who are the Wilfs?

The family is made up of two brothers and a cousin. Zygi Wilf is the owner and chairman of the Minnesota Vikings; his brother Mark is the co-owner and president; and their cousin Leonard is co-owner and vice-chairman.
