Lifespace Communities Announces Completion of Village on the Green Health Center Expansion
From health center to new villas, $56 million investment focuses on exemplary resident experience.
LONGWOOD, FL (August 26, 2021) – The expansion and redevelopment of the health
center at Village on the Green is complete and is accepting admissions for assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing. Following
the completion of the health center expansion, Village on the Green is expecting to finalize their independent living expansion of the clubhouse in 2022.
The 80-acre senior living community in Longwood, Florida includes:
• A new 99,706- square-foot health center building with 36 assisted living apartments, 18 private memory care suites, and 48 resort-style skilled nursing suites
• A new, state-of-the-art wellness center with physician, occupational, and speech therapy offerings
• Studio, one, and two bedroom assisted living floor plan options with kitchenettes in every apartment
• 20 new independent living villas offering up to 1,749 square feet of luxurious living space nestled in a beautiful, landscaped neighborhood
A renovated clubhouse with additional dining venues and a refurbished auditorium with state-of-the-art technology Renovations to the common areas featuring modern design with private courtyards and views of the grounds

Lifespace Communities, the manager and operator of Village on the Green, invested more than $56 million into the expansion and redevelopment project. The community carries an overall 5-Star Health Center rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Village on the Green’s skilled nursing and rehabilitation services has been awarded the Governor’s Panel on Excellence Gold Seal award, which recognizes the highest standards of quality in health care, for the last 19 consecutive years. Less than 4% of long-term care providers in Florida achieve this distinction.
Village on the Green’s new assisted living area offers one- and two-bedroom apartments all with kitchenettes, both private and family-style dining rooms, 24-hour gated security, a fitness center, beauty salon, game room, library, swimming pool, whirlpool and garden area. The new memory care area offers a secure courtyard and garden, activity room, salon and barber services, housekeeping, and
laundry with 24-hour gated security. The new skilled nursing area offers a brand-new therapy gym and a specialized dining room with resort-style suites.”
