The Kentucky recruit completed a stellar high school career by winning a Class 4A state championsh­ip in the 100-yard butterfly with an automatic All-American time (AA-A) of 53.03 seconds. She was the state runner-up in the 100 backstroke at 55.26. Both times were best in the area for 2021. Agliano was area athlete of the year in swimming and water polo as a junior and is a favorite to repeat that feat. She was

the Miss Water Polo state player of the year last spring.

Winter Park senior

Buzz:

Runner-up in Class 4A state 200 freestyle final (1:49.20) and then anchored first place 200 free and 400 free relays. She also took eighth in 500 free (4:58.94).

Heidi Bruining Lake Brantley senior Buzz:

Took third in Class 3A 200 individual medley final with area-leading 2:04.57. She also placed third in the 100 breaststro­ke (1:03.85) and swam on two relays that scored points.

Gabriella Goodwin Oviedo junior Buzz:

State champion in 500 freestyle (4:50.84) and third place in the 200 free (1:50.33) in Class 4A. Her 500 time was fastest in the area for 2021. Ranked third in 200 free.

Lanie Gutch Boone sophomore Buzz:

She was state runner-up Class 4A diving competitio­n after winning the championsh­ip as a ninth grader. Gutch had the best 4A score in regional competitio­n, 514.20 points.

Kaylin Herbet Oviedo junior Buzz:

Class 4A champ in 100 freestyle with a 50.74-second time. Fifth in the 50 where her best was 23.41. Swam splits of 23.46 and 50.25 on medal-winning 200 and 400 free relays.

Bella Lojewski Winter Park senior Buzz:

State champ in 200 free relay and 400 free relay (50.92 leg). Lojewski also finished fourth in the individual 100 fly final at 55.00. She placed ninth in the 200 free in 51.15.

Addison Reese Windermere sophomore Buzz:

Swam AA-A 100 butterfly time of 54.27 for third place. Was a state champ in 200 medley relay, runner-up in 200 free with 23.68 leadoff leg, and finished fourth in 400

free relay

Marcela Scaramuzza Windermere Prep senior Buzz:

Class 1A runner-up in the 100 butterfly (54.75) and 100 breaststro­ke (1:02.26) with AA-A times in both events. Area best in breaststro­ke. Signed with Northeaste­rn.

Cambria Semmen Winter Park senior Buzz:

Swam on two Class 4A champion relay efforts and placed in two individual events. Finished fourth in 50 freestyle with area-leading 23.38 time and seventh in 100 fly (56.61).

Emma Sundermeye­r Foundation Academy sophomore Buzz:

Swam area-best 1 minute, 48.98 seconds time as the Class 1A state runner-up in the 200 freestyle. Daughter of Lions’ coach Chad Sundermeye­r was fifth in the 100 free in a time of 51.78.
