Winter Springs senior

Vinci wasn’t a varsity starter as a ninth-grade newbie, but she bought in to the rigors and rewards of the sport. That included borrowing a bar and weights so she could work out at home when schools were shut down during the COVID-19 outbreak. Hard work paid off as Vinci became a state runner-up as a junior and the Class 3A champ this year in the 101-pound weight class. She benched 145 pounds and hoisted the same weight overhead in the clean-and-jerk at the FHSAA finals. Best mark was a 145-155—300 in district competition.
