Rees wrestled as a freshman in Georgia and made some history when she competed in the boys postseason tournament and qualified for the 5A state finals at 106 pounds. Two years later, after moving to Central Florida, she won a boys district title in 2021 at 120 pounds. This year, in the first FHSAA girls state tournament, she won the 125 state title in dominant fashion. In her final four high school meets, Rees won by pinfall in all 12 matches to finish 35-0. She also notched first-place finishes in the Metro Conference meet, Lady Falcons Invite at East River, Johnny Rouse Tournament at Hagerty and the Knockout Classic at Silver Spurs Arena.
