GIRLS ALL-AREA WRESTLERS Kiara Brin
Freedom senior Buzz:
Was 26-1 and second in state meet at 235 pounds, losing to Orange Park’s Andrea Smith, who is ranked top 10 nationally. Brin won region, district and three regular season titles.
Hayeni Costa Celebration junior Buzz:
Costa finished second in state tourney at 170 pounds after winning Region 2 and placing second in District 7. Also won Orange Belt Conference title and finished with a 20-2 record.
Keyla DeLeon Freedom junior Buzz:
Placed third at state in 135 weight class after winning district and region meets. DeLeon was first in the Metro Conference meet at 140 and finished with a 34-4 record.
Juliana Diaz Dr. Phillips senior Buzz:
Diaz won the state title at 120 pounds after wrestling at 115 and 120 in the regular season. Won district, region and Metro titles on her way to an 18-1 record.
Cameron Galvin
Freedom junior
Buzz: In her second full season of wrestling, Galvin won a state title at 115 pounds. She also won district and region titles and two invitationals on her way to a 32-1 record.
Jada Llamido
Hagerty senior
Buzz: Finished third at state in the 140 weight class after taking district, region and two invitational titles. Seminole Athletic Conference champ finished with a 23-1 record.
Dianna Pineda
Deltona senior
Buzz: Pineda finished fourth in state tourney at 105 pounds, after placing second at region meet in Panama City, first in District 4 and first in the Johnny Rouse event at Hagerty.
Chloe Shull Timber Creek sophomore Buzz:
Shull’s only loss came in state final as she finished second at 155 pounds. She won titles at district, region as well as Metro Conference and Skylar White meets for a 32-1 record.
Bailey Waltz Timber Creek senior Buzz:
Finished high school career with third place at state at 130 after winning District 6 and Region 2 titles. She also won at the Metro Conference meet and finished with a 27-3 record.
Madison Waltz Timber Creek senior Buzz:
Madison finished a spot lower than her sister with fourth place at 135. She won four tourneys and went 35-6. District and region runner-up behind Freedom’s DeLeon.
