DeSantis exploits children for political gain

Does Gov. Ron DeSantis care about Florida’s children, or does he simply use them in his own form of child exploitation?

From where I sit, DeSantis’ only interest in Florida’s children is when he can use them in some political photo ops.

Over 20% of Florida’s children live in poverty and another 35% live at a near poverty level.

Child food insecurity for the state of Florida is 20.4%.

DeSantis can’t seem to find time to work on these problems.

He shamed Florida when he chastised a group of students at the University of South Florida for properly wearing a face mask.

He shamed Florida again when he staged a photo op using elementary-school students, some holding “Protect Children” signs, while he signed the controversial “Don’t Say Gay” legislation that, if allowed to remain in effect, could prove damaging to the mental health of some of those very children holding those signs … students who might have been too young to have even figured out what their sexual orientation may be.

Shameful, cruel child exploitation. Florida, we must use our vote to get rid of this “DeSantis Theater” and get us a governor who cares about Floridians. DeSantis obviously only cares about himself.
