A video taken by the victim of a hit-and-run crash in Orlando led to the arrest of a 22-yearold man Friday evening, according to the Orange County Sheriff ’s Office.

On April 14, the driver, Dontae Divine Styles, allegedly followed the victim’s fiancé home from work after she yelled at Styles for cutting her off and throwing an object at her vehicle, according to an arrest affidavit. When she arrived at her home on Miami Road in east

Orange County, the victim, Matthew Gerran, took out his phone and walked up to the suspect’s vehicle while recording him.

Styles then hit the victim, sending Gerran through his car’s windshield and knocking him down before driving away. Gerran recorded most of the incident and told deputies the car’s license plate was covered. Gerran suffered injuries to his wrist, back, head and arms, according to the report.

The victim’s family reportedly posted the video on Instagram. Police say the video and an anonymous tip, helped find Style’s address and helped identify the suspect and vehicle, a blue, four-door, 2004 Acura TSX sedan.

Styles is facing counts for aggravated battery with a motor vehicle and was booked into the Seminole County Jail.

He is also listed as a suspect in Casselberry Police Department report from last year that claims he pointed a firearm at the victim after a road rage incident, though he was not arrested, records show.
