Delta to resume Orlando nonstop to Amsterdam
Delta Air Lines will resume its pandemic-suspended flight from Orlando to Amsterdam this fall, marking further progress in Orlando International Airport’s gradual restoration of intercontinental service.
Delta’s flight to Amsterdam is the only service by a U.S. carrier to Europe. While ranking in 2021 as the world’s seventh-busiest airport, Orlando International Airport relies on the foreign airlines of Aer Lingus, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Lufthansa for service to Europe.
Delta’s daily nonstop flights to the Netherlands began in March 2018, with departures at 9:45 p.m. and arrivals at 5:41 p.m. on a Boeing 767-300ER. Flights were halted early in the pandemic.
With service resuming Oct. 31, Delta will operate an Airbus A330-300, with 282 seats, including 31 lie-flat seats for Delta One service, the airline’s most premium class for long haul flights. Departures will be at 7:40 p.m. and arrivals at 5:25 p.m.
A Delta spokesperson said that fares are difficult to predict because of fluctuations in fuel and other costs. But tickets will go on sale, starting May 14.
