Billie Eilish filmed concert coming to Central Florida for 1 night only
Central Florida fans of Billie Eilish who want to check out the singer’s “Happier Than Ever” tour, which had no stops in the Sunshine State, will have one chance later this month to see a filmed version of a performance from the tour captured last year at London’s O2 arena.
The film, “Billie Eilish — Live at the O2” has been nominated for Best Music Film for the upcoming 2023 Grammy Awards and includes some of Eilish’s bestknown songs including “Bad Guy,” “Therefore I Am,” “Bury a Friend,” “Happier Than Ever” and “Your Power.” The concert was streamed on Apple Music Live last year, but the theatrical cut will include six new performances and 30 minutes of additional footage.
The concert film will be shown at a handful of Central Florida theaters on Jan. 27, including the AMC Disney Springs, which has a standard screening at 7:30 p.m. and a Dolby screening with Atmos-enhanced sound at 8 p.m., the Cinemark Orlando, which added a second showing at 7:30 p.m. after the initial 7:15 p.m. screening sold more than 90% of its seats, and AMC Altamonte Springs, which is the only Central Florida theater showing the film in 3D, with showings at 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
“I’ve always wanted to make a music film that truly captures the energy of my live show,” Eilish said in a statement about the filmed special. “This film is a visual live experience and keepsake for us all, celebrating everything that I love about this tour, and most of all, everyone who came out to see me. This is my thank you.”
Tickets are between $15.98$25.68 (before fees) depending on the theater and format, and no discounts or A-List can be used for this limited-time, special event.
