Protect the planet

Like Tuesday letter-writer Charles Michael Sitero, I, too, care about the economy and more jobs. But not at the expense of our planet.

According to a recent article in the Orlando Sentinel, global warming is worse than scientists thought. And yet the present administration continues to deregulate — actions that could speed up global warming and cause havoc to our planet and loss of lives.

We need job-creating industries, but industries that protect our planet and its inhabitants, not cause them harm. Susan Talana Harris Orlando
