Sunscreen at parks

Orlando Sentinel (Sunday) - - OPINION - Beacon College: assistant professor,

A.J. Marsden,

Living in the Sunshine State provides us more sunny days than cloudy ones, but all those sunny days dramatically increase our risk of developing skin cancer. Orange, Seminole, and Lake counties understand this risk and have partnered with Orlando Health and the University of Florida Health Cancer Center to install sunscreen dispensers in county parks — at no cost to the counties. The dispensers will provide park goers with SPF 50 sunscreen — free of charge. This partnership is a creative example of how governments and businesses can work together to expand prevention efforts and truly make a difference in our communities.
