2 found dead at Daytona Beach apartment
Two men were found dead from multiple gunshots at a Daytona Beach apartment complex Friday night, a Daytona Beach police spokeswoman said.
Police were following up on an unrelated incident at the Jade Park Apartments in the 500 block of Jimmy Ann Drive when they found Trey Ingraham and Jordan Paden, both 19, dead inside an apartment, according to police spokeswoman Lyda Longa.
Authorities believe the shooting may have taken place the day prior after Longa said some residents reported hearing multiple gunshots on Thursday, but didn't call police, she said.
Longa said Ingraham, who was a former Bethune-Cookman University student, lived at the apartment the men were found in.
Police have identified a person of interest in the case, who Longa said is “not a danger to the community or society.” The person has not been publicly identified.
