A tip to make your visit to the ICE! attraction at Gaylord Palms more enjoyable: Take some gloves! Even if they’re just thin garden gloves, you’ll be glad you have them. Another good idea: taking a stocking hat or earmuffs.
The theme of this year’s exhibit is the DreamWorks movie “Merry Madagascar.” The entire ICE! exhibit is carved by 40 artisans from Harbin, China. It takes the skilled carvers nearly a month, and the whole attraction takes up 20,000 square feet. The two-story ice-slide feature alone is carved from 2 million pounds of ice. The exhibit is open through Jan. 1.
