ANewHampshire couple wanted in a high- profile child- abuse case in which a 3-year-old was beaten and burned remained jailed Thursday in Orange County.

Roland Dow, 27, and Jessica Linscott, 23, were arrested on fugitive charges Wednesday at Universal Orlando.

The U.S. Marshals Service had been looking for the couple since Nov. 13, when a judge signed arrest warrants accusing them of abusing Linscott’s 3-year-old son.

The couple are expected to be extradited to New Hampshire to face the charges.

Acting on tips, investigators found Dow and Linscott on vacation in Orlando and arrested them after they fin- ished watching a parade at the theme park.

Dow was wanted on charges of firstand second- degree assault. Both will be charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Linscott’s son was beaten so severely that he required brain surgery, his grandmother has said.

The couple dropped off the child at a New Hampshire hospital Nov. 14, authorities said. The boy’s father died when he was a baby.

“I find it very sad that these two were located in an area designed to bring joy and happiness to children,” U.S. Marshal David L. Cargill Jr. said in a prepared statement.

The couple are in protective custody because of the charges.
