British man gets 10 years in prison for seeking girl for incest fantasy
A British man who traveled to Sanford so he could meet a teen girl, take her as his wife, have children and then raise an incest family was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison Monday.
Federal agents said Shuhel Mahboob Ali responded to an online ad placed last year by an undercover detective posing as the father of a 13-year-old girl.
Ali’s initial response was that he was looking to “settle down with a girl and raise a couple of daughters for ‘the lifestyle,’ ” according to a criminal complaint.
From January to April 2013, Ali corresponded with the undercover Homeland Security Investigations agent, telling him in graphic detail what he would like to do with his supposed teenage daughter.
Ali, 40, said he wanted to settle down with a girl, “breed” and raise a “daughters only” family.
Ali said if he got the teen pregnant, he wanted to start abusing their baby “once the mid-wife left,” the complaint said.
According to the court records, Ali said, “when you start with very, very, very young, you can mold them to believe anything and do anything you see.”
Ali said he wanted to raise his family in this manner.
During t he online chats, Ali told the detectives about other children he sexually abused.
Ali told undercover detectives he would take the supposed Central Florida teen back to the United Kingdom, “and begin to train her sexually and prepare her for a family,” the complaint said.
On April 13, Ali traveled from London to Sanford, where he met the undercover detective.
Detectives found two hooded face masks, bondage tape, condoms, cameras and other items in his suitcase. They also found child pornography on his laptop.
Ali pleaded guilty to enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity.
