Sit. Stay. Sip. Event to help homeless animals

Join T. E. A. R. S. ( Together Every Animal Receives Support) for a food-and-wine event this Friday, March 7, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Lake Mary. It will benefit the homeless animals from Seminole County Animal Services.

The theme: Sit and enjoy friends, family and fellow animal lovers.

Stay and taste foods from local restaurants and check out local vendors. There will be a raffle and silent auction.

You can also sip select wines and unique beers and enjoy music by a DJ.

And – most important – you can save a life: Meet some of the dogs available for adoption from Seminole County Animal Services.

At the Sit Stay Sip Event, there will be something for everyone, said Diane Gagliano, Animal Services spokeswoman.

Proceeds f rom t he event will go to pay for special care and surgeries that are needed by homeless pets that, with the help of T.E.A.R.S., get well and ready for adoption.

Hundreds of homeless animals are now in new homes thanks to the efforts of T.E.A.R.S., Gagliano said.

The food- and- wine event will be held at Park Place at Heathrow Center (the outdoor courtyard), 1515 International Parkway, Lake Mary. Admission is $30.
