Gov. Rick Scott, the Republican incumbent, is scheduled to talk to News 13’s “Political Connections” at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday. Al Ruechel of Bay News 9 will conduct the interview. The program earlier interviewed Libertarian Adrian Wyllie and Democrat Charlie Crist.
Dr. Vincent Hsu, Florida Hospital’s executive director of infection prevention, talks to “Central Florida Spotlight” at 12:30 p.m. Sunday on WFTVChannel 9. Hsu discusses the Ebola threat, the media coverage and the risk to Central Florida. Greg Warmoth’s other guests are Dr. Barbara Jenkins, superintendent of Orange County Public Schools, and Bill Sublette, Orange School Board chairman. They discuss Common Core and the referendum in the general election to extend an existing tax.
“Flashpoint” looks at hunger in Central Florida at 8 a.m. Sunday on WKMG-Channel 6. Mike Holfeld’s guests will be Dave Krepcho, the president and CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank, and Lora Gilbert, senior director of food and nutrition with Orange County Public Schools. The program examines the number of Central Florida children who need help and why the problem continues despite the improving economy.
“O r l a n d o Ma t t e r s ” looks at early voting with Mike Ertel, supervisor of elections for Seminole County. The program, hosted by John Brown, airs at 7 a.m. today on W R BW- C h a n n e l 6 5. Adrian Wyllie, Libertarian candidate for governor, talks about his platform, the need for a third party and his views on medical marijuana, the property tax and the death penalty.
