Halloween at the theme parks

-

WHAT: As Halloween approaches, the spooky and not-so-spooky events at Central Florida theme parks begin to fade. Here’s a wrap-up of what’s left in the bag.

SeaWorld Orlando: The park’s Spooktacular, a gentle trick-or-treat affair, runs Saturday and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. It’s included in regular admission (seaworldorlando.com).

Legoland Florida: Brick-or-Treat includes costume contests, a scavenger hunt, trick-or-treating and Lego-building exercises. The final days are Saturday and Sunday. Park hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. The event is included in regular Legoland admission. (legoland.com).

Universal Studios: The 24th edition of Halloween Horror Nights, an intense, PG-13 scare fest with eight haunted houses and assorted other frights (pictured), continues today, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. A onenight ticket is $95.99, but there are discounts for annual passholders, Florida residents and others. (halloweenhorrornights.com/Orlando).

Magic Kingdom: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which includes special parade, fireworks, shows and trick-or-treating, has sold out its final three nights, but there may be tickets available for today and Sunday. Tickets run between $62 and $71. (disneyworld.com.)
