A university freshman from Georgia was arrested on suspicion of taking cellphone photos of young girls during a vacation to Disney’s Magic Kingdom on Nov. 27.

Yanbo Jiang, 19, was booked into the Orange County jail Monday but has since bonded out, records show.

The Chinese national faces two felony counts of video voyeurism after investigators found photos taken on his iPhone 5s of girls ages 4 to 7. The pictures included one of a girl using the restroom and a photo taken under a girl’s skirt, according to an incident report.

In a written statement, Jiang apologized for his alleged actions and said he knew they were wrong.

“I’ve been having this overwhelming desire to look at little girls,” he wrote in a statement Nov. 27.

He continued: “Today my moment of weakness made me making a decision I’ll regret for the rest of my life — give in to that desire and actually used my phone as a tool to accomplish that.”

The State Attorney’s Office filed charges Feb. 26, after which Jiang was transported from Georgia, court records show. He attended Columbus State University, the report states.

On Nov. 27, a mother at the Magic Kingdom noticed a man standing near her 9-year-old daughter as the family watched a night parade by the castle, the report states. She pulled her daughter close to her, and the man moved elsewhere.

Then her 15-year-old son alerted her that the man had moved toward another sibling. The mother said she saw Jiang taking photos of her 4-year-old daughter while the girl sat atop her father’s shoulders, the report states.

Jiang stood on his toes to peer down her daughter’s pants, the woman told investigators.

“The phone was almost resting on her back pointed over her pants where her shirt and sweater had ridden up,” she wrote in a statement.
