Deputies: Poinciana woman attacked

Deputies are asking for help with identifyin­g a man they say forced his way into a 71-year-old woman’s garage and then attempted to pull her into her Poinciana home.

The incident happened shortly after 3:20 p.m. on Monday when someone rang the doorbell at the woman’s house on Alicante Court, according to the Osceola County Sheriff ’s Office.

She said she went out through the garage and greeted a man through a screened door.

He was holding a piece of paper that looked like a restaurant menu and knew the woman’s name, deputies said. He asked her to confirm it, and when she did, he forced his way into the garage.

He was released Wednesday from the Osceola County Jail.

Deputies started investigat­ing in September after identifyin­g a computer linked to child pornograph­y.

They eventually got a warrant and, on Tuesday, searched Bennett’s home off Celebratio­n Avenue.

That’s where deputies say they found the devices managed to break away and run for help, according to the Sheriff ’s Office.

The man then got into a silver sedan with a magnetic sign on the side reading, “Frankies” or “Franks,” and drove away. Deputies said he was last seen headed toward Koa Street.

Records show Bennett has been a licensed real-estate sales associate in Florida for more than a year.

He is described as a “Disney Area Real Estate Jedi” with Carlos German & Team in Celebratio­n, according to the real-estate agency’s website.

The agency did not respond for comment.
