Osceola deputies say they arrested a mother and daughter Wednesday afternoon after the pair solicited an undercover detective for sex.

Detectives said they also found crack cocaine and three children locked in a bedroom at the pair’s Poinciana-area home, an arrest report states.

Tracy Mowatt, 49, and 28-year-old daughter Leslie Mowatt are each facing charges of soliciting prostitution and childneglect, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Both are being held in the Osceola County Jail on bail.

Detectives were working an undercover sting and responded about 3:30 p.m. to an advertisement on Backpage.com for a “Pretty, thick, mixed chick,” the report states. The women messaged detectives back and sent an address for them to meet.

When an undercover detective showed up at the family’s home on Beau Rivage Court, Tracy Mowatt told her daughter to check the detective for a wire.

The daughter said she did and then they walked to a bedroom, where the women asked the detective to undress, the report states. The detective refused and accused the women of being law enforcement.

Both denied being cops and the mother exposed herself, the report states.

The detective then alerted other deputies and arrested the pair.

Deputies said they noticed crack cocaine and two pipes on a nightstand in Tracy Mowatt’s bedroom. She allegedly told them she has been smoking the drug for about five years, according to the report.

The Sheriff ’s Office also found Tracy Mowatt’s two 10-year-old girls, and Leslie Mowatt’s 5-year-old girl locked in a front bedroom.

Child-welfare workers placed the children with relatives.

According to her arrest report, Leslie Mowatt told deputies she works at a Burger King.
