Longhorns’ surge beats Sooners

Isaiah Taylor scored 18 points and No. 25 Texas used a 25-5 run in the second half to defeat No. 3 Oklahoma 76-63 Saturday in Austin, Texas.

The Longhorns (19-10, 10-6 Big 12) trailed 58-51 when Taylor’s three-point play kicked off the decisive stretch. Connor Lammert and Javan Felix each added 14 points for Texas.

Buddy Hield had 33 points for the Sooners (22-6, 10-6).

Utah 70, Arizona 64: Brandon Taylor scored 19 points, including the game-clinching 3-pointer with 41 sec- onds to play, to help the No. 22 Utes beat the No. 9 Wildcats and gain a share of first place in the Pac-12.

Jakob Poeltl added 14 points and 10 rebounds for Utah (23-7, 12-5), which pulled into a tie with Oregon. Allonzo Trier scored 23 for Arizona (22-7, 10-6).

Purdue 83, Maryland 79:

A.J. Hammons scored 19 points and 20th-ranked Purdue (22-7, 10-6 Big Ten) held on to beat the No. 10 Terrapins.

Melo Trimble had 19 points for Maryland (23-6, 11-5).

Miami 73, Louisville 65:
