And when an analyst asked how much SeaWorld could expect to save as a result of no longer maintainin­g the floors, Chief Financial Officer Peter Crage responded that “there is savings there, but it’s not significan­t. It’s fairly insignific­ant to the future.”

The company announced earlier this year that it would remove the floors because they are not needed anymore. Trainers no longer perform in the water with killer whales. Employees get into the water with orcas only in more shallow medical pools, where lifting floors will remain.
