Red Sox: Xander Bogaerts extended his hitting streak to 23 games and drove in two runs and Jackie Bradley put the Red Sox ahead for good with a sixthinnin­g homer as they beat the Orioles 7-2 in a matchup of the top two teams in the American League East. David Ortiz and rookie Marco Hernandez also homered for the Red Sox, who stretched their division lead to two games. Knucklebal­ler Steven Wright pitched a four-hitter and struck out seven in his third straight complete game.

Cardinals: Matt Carpenter had four hits and scored three times to lead the Cardinals past the Brewers 6-0. The first four batters in the Cards’ lineup ac-seventh counted for 10 of the team’s 12 hits.

Reds: Adam Duvall had his first career two-homer game, Joey Votto hit his 200th homer and Eugenio Suarez — who came in mired in an 0-for-28 skid — also went deep in the Reds’ 11-8 victory over the Rockies. Zack Cozart also homered for the Reds. Votto is the seventh Red with at least 1,000 career hits and 200 homers. Nationals: Daniel Murphy raised his major league-leading average to .395 with three hits, including a solo homer and tiebreakin­g two-run single, as the Nationals beat the Phillies 4-3. Reigning National League MVP Bryce Harper left the game in the after taking a fastball on the outside part of his right knee.

Mets: Matt Harvey rediscov- ered his form with seven dominant innings of two-hit ball, Neil Walker homered off Jose Quintana, and the Mets sent the White Sox to their seventh straight loss, 1-0. Harvey, who retired the first 13 batters he faced, struck out six and walked two to win for the first time since May 8 . ... Captain David Wright has a herniated disk in his neck and could be headed to the disabled list. The third baseman, who had an MRI and took oral anti-inflammato­ry medicine over the weekend, missed his third straight game and said he will be examined by a specialist on Tuesday.
