Latest tech earns Cousins suspension

Kings star DeMarcus Cousins was handed an automatic one-game suspension after picking up his 16th technical of the season Monday night against the Bulls.

Cousins, who was charged with two technicals in a 112-107 loss, will sit out Wednesday’s home game against the Celtics. From now on, every two technicals he receives will result in another one-game suspension.

In addition, Cousins was fined $25,000 by the NBA on Tuesday for his actions in Saturday’s overtime win against the Warriors. He also was given a technical in that game for inappropriate words and gestures aimed at referee Bill Spooner.
