There was an immense clamoring in Gator Nation for Foley, the recently retired AD, to hire the visor-wearing, offensive-minded Freeze three years ago after Freeze had miraculously turned perennially pathetic Ole Miss into a contender in the SEC West. But Foley obviously knew something was awry.
