Frost gets extension through 2021 season
UCF football coach
signed a contract extension with the school through the 2021 season, the school announced Thursday afternoon.
Frost, 42, led the Knights to a 6-7 record and AutoNation Cure Bowl appearance just one season after the program plummeted to a 0-12 finish. Before joining UCF, Frost served as the offensive coordinator for Oregon.

and In the contract amendment — effective April 1 — Frost’s one-year extension bumped his salary from $1.7 million to $2 million and increased his assistant coaching salary pool by $50,000 dollars. Frost’s buyout clause is one half of the guaranteed salary for the remaining term of the agreement or $3 million dollars.
Frost now joins Navy coach as the highest paid coaches in the American Athletic Conference. Both make $2 million dollars annually, according to USA Today’s coaching salaries database.
Frost was introduced as UCF’s new football coach on December 1, 2015, following a brief search after previous coach George O’Leary resigned during the 2015 season.
This is the first head coaching post for Frost, who won a national championship as the quarterback for Nebraska.
Frost’s improvements of the UCF football program registered as the fourthlargest turnaround by a winless program in the past 20 years.

Florida State basketball coach
has signed a contract extension through the 2019-20 season, the school announced on Thursday.
Hamilton, FSU’s all-time leader in wins, was set to have his current contract end after the 2018-19 season.
“Leonard Hamilton is an outstanding basketball coach. His success coupled with the type of studentathletes we are currently attracting show we are on the right track,” FSU athletic director said in a statement. “This extension will provide him the opportunity to reach both of our men’s goals for the program which are annual NCAA Tournament appearances and success advancing in the Tournament.”
Added FSU school president “Coach Hamilton has consistently produced studentathletes we are proud to call alumni of Florida State University, and teams that compete at the highest level both in the ACC and nationally. I am fully supportive of this contract extension and I look forward to working with Coach Hamilton in the coming years.”
