A swan ran a-“fowl” of the law Wednesday by chasing an Orlando police officer at Lake Eola.

The video of the egg-ravated swan and a laughing Orlando police Officer Brad Miglio quickly flew on social media Friday after a jogger captured the humorous encounter.

Miglio walked around his pickup truck a couple times and the swan kept following him. The swan started to fly toward him and began squawking as Miglio scurried away.

The video was taken by Kelsey Wilkinson of Orlando as she and her boyfriend, Darrell Harbin, jogged around the lake on Wednesday afternoon.

Orlando police had some fun on its Twitter account, dubbing the incident a “SWAN PURSUIT.”

“Hey Swan! Leave our officer alone!” Orlando police quipped. “We can’t overstate the hazards our officers face on the job.”

Harbin said they found it humorous so they decided to take the video. He typically jogs around the area and has noticed the swan chase other people before.

“He’s kind of protective of that area,” said Harbin, 49. “He’s gone after me before.”

Harbin said he’s received calls from media outlets from as far away as the United Kingdom about the video.

“My phone hasn’t stopped ringing,” he said with a laugh.

The swans at downtown Orlando’s Lake Eola are iconic — there are even swan paddleboats on which to explore the lake.
