New Lions move up with stars out

Sometimes it can be hard to find the silver lining in a string of negative events, but if there is one for Orlando City this week, coach thinks it’s that players low on the depth chart are getting opportunit­ies.

Orlando City missed forward and midfielder in Saturday night’s match against the Montreal Impact. Nocerino was suspended for the game after getting a red card in the Lions’ last match. Larin will miss multiple games after getting arrested on a DUI charge Thursday.

“You can look at the very negatives of this situation ... or you can look at the positives of the situation and say, ‘This is an opportunit­y for others to step forward,’” Kreis said. “And an opportunit­y not just for player ‘X’ for Cyle Larin.
