a man in an alledged kidnapping that involves accusations of a theft of money and drugs — and an extramarital incident at a hookah bar.

A 28-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after deputies said he kidnapped another man, drugged him and hit him over the head with a level.

Stefan Pierce, of Orlando, was arrested on kidnapping and aggravated assault charges.

According to his arrest affidavit, the incident occurred about 10 p.m. Sept. 22 at a Wawa gas station at 608 N. Goldenrod Road.

The victim, Jorge Rivera-Wade, told deputies he was at the gas station when four men came out of a car.

One of the men went up to Rivera-Wade and said, “If you know what’s good for you, you will get into the car,” the affidavit said.

Video from the gas station showed the men getting out of the car, approaching the victim and putting him inside, the report said.

Rivera-Wade told deputies the suspects tied him up with zip ties, drugged him and took him to La Isla Hookah lounge at 659 S. Goldenrod Road, where Pierce struck him with a level, the affidavit said.

The victim was able to get away and ran to a nearby gas station.

He later went to the hospital, where he received several stitches, deputies said. Deputies got a search warrant for the business and found a blood-soaked couch and mop, along with zip ties and a broken level, according to the report.

The victim told deputies he did construction work on the bar and thought the attack was revenge because he saw the hookah bar owner cheating on his wife.

The hookah bar owner, who admitted to deputies his involvement in the kidnapping, said in the affidavit that the motive was retribution because the victim stole drugs and money.

Pierce, who was the only one arrested, was taken Wednesday to the Orange County Jail, where he is being held without bond. dharris@orlandosentinel.com, 407-420-5471 or @DavidHarrisOS
