If you missed the big solar eclipse in August, don’t worry. There’s always another one, although you may have to travel farther to find it. The adventure travel company Explore has five eclipse trips available in 2019 to view the annular eclipse that will occur Dec. 26. In an annular eclipse, the moon is farther away from the Earth than it is during a total eclipse. This makes the moon appear smaller, so when it aligns with the larger sun the result is a dark center surrounded by a ring of fire. The trips from Explore are in locations as varied as Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka and Oman. In Oman, there’s the Arabian Sands Eclipse trip that will view the annular eclipse while in the Wahiba Sands. In addition to camping in the desert, the eight-day/ seven-night trip explores both the modern and historic sites of Oman. It’s priced from $2,430 per person, double occupancy, not including international airfare. Look over all five eclipse trips at

And you can check back with Explore in a month or so for trips to Argentina that will experience a total solar eclipse July 2, 2019.
