- By Michael Williams

This week’s cold temperatures can be especially harsh for Central Florida’s most vulnerable residents. Thousands are either homeless or living without adequate heating.

Freezing temperatures are expected early Thursday and Friday before things warm up a bit in time for the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

The Orlando Police Department will hold a Coat and Blanket Drive on Friday.

People can donate clothing at OPD headquarters, 1250 W. South St.

Donations can be dropped off Friday, 7-11 a.m.
