2 visitors report feeling ill at Disney
Two visitors to Walt Disney World became ill after they rode attractions at the Magic Kingdom, according to a recently released state report.
A 69-year-old woman who rode Space Mountain on Aug. 6 became disorientated and was unable to climb out of the roller coaster car without assistance, according to the report that lists injuries selfdisclosed by Florida’s largest theme parks.
A 37-year-old man with a preexisting condition lost consciousness after he got off Splash Mountain on Sept. 16, the report also said.
That same day, a 79-year-old woman reported feeling ill before and after she rode The Seas with Nemo and Friends, which is an aquarium and dark ride at Epcot.
At Universal Orlando Resort, a 39-year-old woman felt motion sickness at Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey attraction on Sept. 3.
A 51-year-old man also reported hip pain after riding Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slide at the Volcano Bay water park.
No visitor health issues were reported at SeaWorld or Legoland Florida.
Every quarter, theme parks disclose to the state any riderelated injuries or illnesses that required an immediate hospital stay of at least 24 hours.
The parks report the incidents as part of a deal they made to avoid state inspections.
The report released Thursday covered all incidents disclosed from July to September.
